What you’ll do
- Lead the design and implementation of backend services using Java + Spring Boot
- Define and evolve system architecture based on hexagonal architecture, ensuring clear separation between domain logic and infrastructure
- Design, build, and maintain microservices that are scalable, resilient, and easy to evolve
- Make technical decisions that balance business needs, performance, and long-term maintainability
- Review code, mentor engineers, and enforce engineering best practices
- Work closely with Product and other teams to translate requirements into well-designed technical solutions
- Ensure high standards for reliability, observability, and performance across services
- Identify technical risks early and drive solutions proactivelyWhat we’re looking for
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot in production environments
- Solid understanding and practical experience with microservices architectures
- Hands-on experience applying hexagonal (ports and adapters) architecture
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
- Experience building and operating systems on AWS
- Experience leading technical discussions and mentoring engineers
